This Web site supports my book, Collectible Microcomputers. It is a comprehensive field guide that helps you identify and price more than 700 microcomputers made worldwide between 1971 and 1993. It's filled with over 340 photos and up-to-date information for collectors who want to fully enjoy this rapidly emerging hobby. Featured are early hobbyist computers, desktop business/professional computers, home computers, PC-compatibles, transportable computers, laptops, and notebook computers.
This site provides supplemental information and comments from readers.

A READER WAS kind enough to send a scan from a 1979 Ward's catalog. It shows a Cybervision 2001, which appears to be a repackaged Cosmac Elf. Has anyone ever seen this system, or its sister model 1001, in the flesh?

ONE OF THE MORE unusual early micros covered in Collectible Microcomputers is the Noval 760. This was a complete system with monitor, printer, and tape storage built into a desk. When I wrote the book, I wasn't sure if any Novals had survived. However, one recently turned up on eBay. The seller, Paul Fischer, was kind enough to send me photos of the system, which is in excellent shape. Expect to see these photos in the next edition of the book.

READER HANS FRANKE asks why no mention was made of the Tano Dragon. The Tano Dragon was the same as the Dragon 64 by Dragon Data Systems. Dragon Data licensed Tano to sell the Dragon in the U.S. I intended to mention the Tano Dragon under the Dragon Data listing.
Hans also asked about a number of other "missing" systems, including the Commodore 64GS and the Commodore Teacher's PET. I left out these and others systems due to space limitations. However, I am keeping a list of systems to add to the next edition of Collectible Microcomputers. Let me know of any systems you would like to see listed by dropping me a note.
